Where will Jalen Hurts finish in ‘The Top 100 Players’?

The Philadelphia Eagles held a training-camp practice at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday night, and the more than 50,000 fans who came to the Eagles’ home field to watch chanted “MVP” as quarterback Jalen Hurts took the field.

Hurts finished second in the balloting for The Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player Award in 2022, when the former Alabama signal-caller had a breakout performance in his second season as a starter.

In 2022, Philadelphia set a franchise record for victories as the Eagles won the NFC championship behind Hurts, who was the first NFL quarterback with a passer rating of more than 100 to score at least 10 touchdowns.

Philadelphia lost to Kansas City 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII on Feb. 12, but Hurts had 304 passing yards, a touchdown pass, 70 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. No other player in NFL history has reached those four stats in the same game.

The performance has vaulted Hurts into the top 10 of “The Top 100 Players of 2023.”

NFL Network has unveiled the 11th through 100th players in its 13th annual poll of NFL players. The countdown of “The Top 100 NFL Players of 2023″ will conclude with the top 10 at 7 p.m. CDT Monday on NFL+.

Hurts will be making his first appearance in “The Top 100 Players” poll, but where will he rank?

The top 10 includes four quarterbacks. In addition to Hurts, leading QBs who have not appeared in “The Top 100 Players of 2023″ include the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen, Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow and Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes.
